PERSONAL SPACE

This is the first project I worked on during my Interior Design studies. We were asked to create our own space that would exude our personality and would express what we stand for. There were no limitations or criteria, we were simply asked to use our imagination to the fullest. It was a conceptual work, where I created an urban piece of furniture I could literally “enter”. By pushing it forwards and backwards, I could spin around town. The two sides of this piece of furniture were transparent, so I could write down my feelings and experiences on it. The more I'd stay in it, the more I'd write in this unconventional diary. In other words: it would start out transparent, and within hours, go to semi-transparent, until it is filled with memories and experiences lived whilst being inside. In the end, the inside would not be visible anymore. The space would be full of my personal experiences, so even if I would leave the furniture, it would still bear my mark.
